Window panes in hotels and the gastronomy are, like in the privacy area, a part of a furnishing concept. A decorative and at the same time functional shading should integrate itself perfectly in the ambiance, while at the same time satisfying the guests individual needs for light incidence and view protection. The result will be that they feel more comfortable.
Through the public character of hotels and restaurants, the focus lies on the combination of aesthetic windows and the fulfilment of functional requirements, e.g. fire prevention, reflection as well as sanitary and thermal protection regulations. Especially the background of restaurants has to fulfill special sanitary and cleaning regulations. Many modern kitchens will be equipped with insect screens to avoid the entering of vermin. These screens offer not only a reliable protection against insects but also a very good air permeability. According to the food hygiene regulations, the window area must also be cleaned and disinfected accordingly, insect screens should be made of stainless steel in these areas. These are resistant to chemical substances such as cleaning and disinfecting agents.
